Birth literacy belongs to everyone.
Every person deserves clear, evidence-informed information about how birth works, what their options are, and how decisions are made within medical and non-medical settings. Education should reduce fear — not create it. It should expand understanding — not prescribe a single philosophy.
These classes are grounded in physiology, informed by research, and committed to honoring your autonomy. They are designed to stand alone or complement doula support.
In-Person Group Classes
Sonoma County
Offered as a three-session series — with the option to attend individual sessions — these classes combine structured learning with embodied practice.
Each session focuses on a clear framework:
Physiology & Interventions
Understanding how labor unfolds in the body, the role of hormones and the nervous system, and the purpose, risks, and indications of common medical interventions.
Emotional Journey & Support Roles
Exploring the psychological landscape of birth, partner and support person roles, communication strategies, and maintaining clarity in dynamic environments.
Embodied Practice & Coping Techniques
A movement-based session focused on labor positions, breath work, massage, aroma, and comfort techniques. This day is part movement class, part guided practice, and part restorative experience — practical, interactive, and grounded in how labor actually feels in the body.
Partners and support persons are always welcome.
Open to all family structures and identities.
Online Learning Modules
For those who prefer self-paced education, modular online topics will be available for purchase individually or as bundled packages.
These recorded segments provide structured, accessible information that you can revisit as needed — without agenda, without ideology, and without pressure.
Learn at your own pace. Revisit what matters. Build understanding over time.
A Neutral, Option-Aware Approach
My role as an educator is not to guide you toward a single path. It is to help you understand the landscape so your decisions are informed and aligned with your values.
